If you live and breathe cricket, here's a chance to make the upcoming World Cup memorable.

Grab the postal stamps - released by the New Zealand postal department to commemorate the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 on Wednesday - that was launched by cricketer Saurabh Tiwary and other officials of Jharkhand postal department at the postal head office in Ranchi, on Thursday.

The 14-stamps sets will be available at 13 postal head offices across the state, the philately counter of Ranchi General Post Office near Shaheed Chowk and the Mukhya Dakghar of Sahebganj in Koderma from Monday onward.

The Indian postal department has procured around 1 lakh souvenir sheets. Of these, the Jharkhand postal circle has got around 2,000.

"The World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Cricket lovers will be happy to treasure something like this and philatelists will have something new to collect," said chief postmaster general Sujata Choudhary.

The souvenir sheet consists of 14 cricket ball-shaped self-adhesive stamps. Each stamp represents a competing team - India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, Scotland, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, West Indies, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates.

Each of the stamps is coloured in the respective shade of the team jersey and bears the logo of the national flag of the country that the team is representing. The stamp sheet had been themed "14 teams, one champion" and each stamp incorporates the official 2015 World Cup logo in the centre.

The New Zealand postal department has customised the sheets sent to India. On it, there is the World Cup trophy inscribed at the centre and below it mentions the years, 1983 and 2011, when India became champion. Each sheet is priced at Rs 400. If someone purchases five sheets together, he/she will get a 20 per cent discount.

"The limited edition will be a prized possession for all. I wish good luck to Team India," said Tiwary.
