SDSM School for Excellence and Beldih Church posted wins in the junior and senior sections, respectively, on the second day of Jamshedpur Old Girls' and Guys' Association (Jogga) Inter-school Football Championship for girls at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.

The former beat Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) 2-0, whereas Beldih Church overcame stiff resistance but prevailed over JH Tarapore (Agrico) 1-0.

All India Women's Conference Centre for Excellence (AIWC), Jamshedpur Public School (JPS), Sacred Heart Convent School (SHCS), DBMS English School, Vig English School and Chinmaya Vidyalaya also scored victories in the junior category.

While AIWC claimed a solitary goal win over Kerala Public School (Kadma) while JPS posted a 2-0 win over SHCS. The convent outfit, however, managed a 1-0 win over Baridih High School (BHS) in another tie for the junior girls. DBMS eves also came out triumphs by scoring a 1-0 goal against Kerala Public School (Kadma). The win notwithstanding, DBMS suffered a 0-1 loss to Vig English Schoool in the next encounter. Chinmaya won 1-0 against KPS (Kadma).

AIWC, Beldih Church, DAV (Patelnagar), MNPS, JPS, Kasidih High School (KHS) , AAES and SHCS also emerged victors in the senior section.

The AIWC side posted a confident 3-0 win over (BHS) even as DAV outfit brushed aside the challenge of Carmel Junior College 2-0. MNPS, on the other hand, overcame DBMS 2-1 while DAV (Patelnagar) lost 0-1 to JPS in another match. KHS scored 1-0 win against AAES who later compensated their loss by winning 2-0 against Beldih Church. Sacred Heart topped 2-0 against JH (Tarapore).

The three-day tournament will conclude on Thursday.
