Ranchi, Oct. 22: Tension mounted at Purani Ranchi area here after unidentified men desecrated the Sarna tribal flag late last night. Angry tribals blocked the road today, demanding action against the accused persons.

Sources said a group of unidentified men tore the flag and damaged the pole. They also exploded bombs at a nearby community hall of the tribals, where three local residents were sleeping. “The incident occurred around 11.30 pm when people were on the streets observing Shab-e-Baraat. The hoodlums also tried to damage the community hall,” said Adivasi Unnati Samaj president Jugesh Oraon.
