Ranchi, July 24: The Samata Party has decided to contest from all the 81 seats of the Jharkhand Assembly in the forthcoming election. A meeting of all district presidents of the party along with the office-bearers will be organised on July 25 to discuss the strategy for the polls.
Samata Party national president Bramhanand Mandal said the party is gearing up for the Assembly election. He added that a membership campaign has been planned to broaden the support base of the party. “We will take in new members to increase the strength,” Mandal said.
“We plan to contest all the Assembly seats and are open to alliance talks,” said Jharkhand Samata president Narayan Singh.
Party general secretary Hardwar Singh told The Telegraph that the party would be open to alliances and a third front might emerge very soon. “The two main alliances of the country failed to make good impressions. Both comprise leaders and ministers with criminal backgrounds. We cannot be a party to such wrongs and will join a different front at the right time.”
