
A two-day Passport Seva camp will be held in Hazaribagh on May 2 and 3 by regional passport office, Ranchi.
An initiative of Union ministry of external affairs, the two-day camp at Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) campus in Sindoor, 5km from Hazaribagh, will be open from 10am to 5pm. The camp will be held at the university's Vivekananda Auditorium.
Vice chancellor Gurdeep Singh said Passport Sewa was an initiative by the Union external affairs ministry to ease the difficulties for the masses in getting passports.
Citizens seeking passports need to register themselves on passportindia.gov.in and pay a fee of Rs 1,500 online.
At the camp, their documents will be verified, photographs and fingerprints taken and retina scan done by a 12-member team from the Ranchi passport office.
After these formalities, they will get their passports at the camp itself. Police verification will be done later.
For Hazaribagh camp, the last day to get registered online is May 2 evening.
