Dhanbad, Jan. 7: Around 100 guardians — who had come to get their wards admitted in LKG through lottery at De Nobili School-CMRI — created ruckus in front of the school today. The police were called to control the situation.

Trouble started after around 75 guardians — who arrived after the lottery started at 10am — were not allowed inside the school to witness the process, which would decide the 80 lucky students among 337 applicants.

The parents then started shouting slogans, alleging that the school was not maintaining transparency and using unfair means.

Tension escalated after results were announced at 10.50am, as parents of candidates who did not make it to the list joined the protest.

They also broke the lock of the school’s gate and all the protesters trooped inside.

Principal Thomas Kennedy refuted all allegations, stating they were just following rules.
