Ranchi, Oct. 18: Harsha Video, a city-based music company, today organised an audition for actors for their forthcoming Hindi music album Yeh Dil Deewana Hai.

The occasion proved to be a good opportunity for the wannabe actors who want to make it big on the silver screen.

The company, which claimed to be making the first Hindi music video album in Jharkhand, conducted the auditions in three rounds ? screen test, dance test and dialogue delivery test.

The selected actors will be trained before the shooting. The videos will be shot at different places in the state.

Looks like men are lured more by the arc-lights than women, as male actors far outnumbered women at the audition.

There were only six to seven women aspirants present as compared to the 40 men. While some of the wannabe actors, faltered in front of the camera, some delivered their dialogues like experts.

Producer of the album, Yogendra Singh (Pappu) said videos for all the eight songs in the album would be shot. ?Either four females and four males will be selected from this audition in which each pair will act in two songs each, or eight females and eight males will be selected ,? said Pappu.

He said though the video would be shot in Jharkhand, the company would try to tap the national market as well.

?We are trying to distribute it all over the country. We will approach the T-Series with the copy of the video before releasing it. If they like it, they will market it all over India. Otherwise, we will launch it in Jharkhand,? said Pappu.

Pappu said as earlier attempts at making Hindi albums had failed they were not taking any chances. ?We have already completed recording the songs and after the selections, work for the video will also start,? Pappu said.

Sameer, the director of the video, said three actors looked promising during the auditions. But, he did not come across a single impressive female actor.

?Most of the aspirants are amateurs and have just come to try their luck. However, more participants are coming in for the audition,? said Sameer.

Speaking about the prospects of Hindi video albums in the state, Sameer said, ?Many people tried to make a Hindi album before. But they were either technically weak or inexperienced. Although the city has a market of Nagpuri songs and many videos have been made in the regional language, I think there is scope for Hindi albums.?

One of the aspirants at the audition said, ?This is a golden opportunity to showcase my talents. Although I am very nervous , I think I will get through the three rounds. I have done a few modelling assignments in fashion shows. More such albums will give a boost to aspiring actors in the state who usually go to the metros to try their luck.?
