Hazaribagh, March 23: A state-of-the-art medical college will soon come up on the campus of Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) in Hazaribagh.
The varsity today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vinayaka Mission University (VMU), Tamil Nadu, to start the college by next year.
Vinoba Bhave University vice-chancellor Arvind Kumar said that VMU runs four medical colleges in India.
“We decided to collaborate with the varsity to open a medical college here too after getting a go-ahead from governor-cum-chancellor Syed Sibtey Razi,” Kumar added.
The Tamil Nadu varsity officials today gave a presentation of the achievements, which has branched out abroad.
VBU vice-chancellor, who was impressed by the presentation, said: “VMU is known for its state-of-the-art functioning system. Everything is computerised there. The medical college will boast similar facilities.”
Kumar added talks were on with Mahavir Cancer Institute for conducting research on medicinal plants.
