Ranchi, Dec. 2: BJP national vice-president and former chief minister Babulal Marandi today finally participated at the party meeting called to review the preparations for ?Sashakt Adivasi Rally? in Ranchi on December 10.

He assured all possible help for the success of the show.

In his inaugural address, Marandi appealed to the party cadres to induct maximum possible tribals to the BJP fold. He also asked them to be careful of those forces who cause a rift in the party organisation in the name of panchayat polls.

?All such forces who are trying to create divisions among the Christian tribals and Sarna tribals or between the ?adivasis? and ?moolvasis? (indigenous people and original natives) will get appropriate replies through this rally. The BJP is committed to the welfare of tribals. Today, most of the tribal-dominated states are being ruled by the BJP and its allies. Our party also has maximum number of tribal MPs,? said Marandi.

He also said the December 10 rally would give a new direction to tribal politics in the country. He, however, did not comment anything on his alliance with the state unit UPA convener Stephen Marandi. The party leaders too did not tell him anything on the issue. All were contented with the fact that Marandi will now again be working for them.

Tomorrow, Marandi will be holding a meeting with the party workers in Khunti to discuss preparations for the success of the rally. On Sunday, he will be holding a similar meeting in Chaibasa and on Monday he will be chairing another in Jamshedpur. He will also be actively participating in all such other party programmes in future, he said.
