Hazaribagh, May 10: The resignation of additional district judge (ADJ) of fast track court (FTC-7) Anil Kumar has raised many eyebrows.
Kumar wrote a two-line letter to the higher authorities expressing his “unwillingness to continue in the service”.
The reason behind the resignation is still unknown. Kumar joined the judiciary service as an ADJ in Hazaribagh in 2002.
Kumar was well reputed as an honest and strict ADJ and popular among the lawyers and other employees of the court. His sudden decision has made everyone suspect some foul play behind the resignation.
When contacted, Kumar refused to make any comments. His close aides, however, said he had left to practise as a lawyer in Ranchi High Court. He had no complains against anyone and chose to leave without any pressure, they added.
