Jamshedpur, Feb. 16: The Jharkhand State Housing Board (JSHB) has decided to enter into a joint venture with private construction companies for setting up modern residential complexes in Adityapur and its adjoining areas.

Sources said according to plans chalked out by the JSHB, around 20 acres of land of the state housing board, spread over in Adityapur, Dindli and Kuluptanga, would be utilised for developing duplexes and multi-storeyed buildings.

The managing director of JHSB Sunil Kumar has sought designs from four private construction companies — Nagarjun Construction (Hyderabad), Unity Construction Group (Mumbai) and the two New Delhi-based firms JP Hotels and National Building Construction Company — before entering into a joint venture.

Kumar told The Telegraph from Ranchi: “We will enter into a joint venture agreement with these four private construction firms who have the necessary expertise in setting up modern housing complexes. More than 10 private firms had applied out of which we have selected four on the basis of their financial and technical backgrounds. They would be assigned different construction works on land belonging to the housing board, spread over across the state. This includes Adityapur, which has maximum vacant land that can be utilised for housing complexes.”

“The joint-venture is also an attempt to promote private entrepreneurs in the housing sector which will not only help in constructing modern and durable housing complexes but also in early completion of the projects,” said Kumar.

According to Kumar, Adityapur has a great potential for developing residentialbuildings.

Poraiyahat polls:With the Poraiyahat bypoll drawing near, political parties have hopped onto the anti-corruption and development bandwagon to woo voters in the Assembly segment.

But going by the response of the people, they seem to be least interested in political gimmicks.
