
Interested in learning the nuances of Hindi writing?
This weekend will give all the budding writers of state a first of its kind opportunity. Ranchi will witness an amalgamation of over 40 eminent Hindi writers from across India from July 29-31 in the biggest literary meet of the state - Katha Pawas.
The meet, to be organised by the post-graduate department of Hindi, Ranchi University (RU), in collaboration with state art and culture department, will be inaugurated at Aryabhatta auditorium on its Morabadi campus on Friday. While state art and culture minister Amar Kumar Bauri will be the chief guest, secretary Satyavrat Singh will be the guest of honour.
The meet, to be attended by authors from Delhi, Patna, Lucknow, Nagpur, Indore, Bangalore and Calcutta, is open for all the budding writers and RU students. To name a few, writers like Gautam Sanyal from Burdwan (Bengal), Alpana Mishra and Sanjeev from New Delhi and Shiv Murthy from Lucknow will address various sessions over the weekend.
The technical sessions on the remaining two days will be held at Audrey House, said Mithilish Kumar Singh, associate professor of the Hindi department during a news meet in Ranchi on Wednesday.
"On the concluding day, we will organise question-answer sessions and dialogue workshops," said Singh.
RU vice chancellor R.K. Pandey will preside over the functions on all three days.
State art and culture director Ashok Kumar Singh and associate professor Heeranandan Prasad were also present in the meet .
