Dhanbad, March 9: Dhanbad district vigilance and monitoring committee reviewed the implementation of various welfare and development schemes today at a meeting at the office of Dhanbad deputy commissioner.

The meeting, chaired by Dhanbad MP P.N. Singh, reviewed the progress of schemes like Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna, MGNREGS and a number of other projects on rural electrification, water supply and sanitation.

Singh stressed the early completion of pending projects and inquired about the reasons for delay despite the availability of funds.

Elected representatives, including MLAs, vented their disappointment regarding the slow progress of the development projects due to which local residents were facing inconvenience.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Giridih MP Ravindra Pandey, Dhanbad MLA Mannan Mallick, Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Prashant Kumar and District PRO Rashmi Sinha.
