Jamshedpur, June 2: Neelachal Ghosh, a graduate of the International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), is now a name to reckon with in the telly world. After having made a mark as a costume designer in popular television serials like The Great Indian Comedy Show and CID, Neelachal is all set to make his Bollywood debut as the assistant costume designer in Ram Gopal Verma?s Shiva.

Arvind Kumar Singh also has a similar tale to tell. Having graduated from the INIFD Arvind is now serving dual stints at the popular Arvind Mills and Satyam Sarees at Gwalior, giving his career the perfect launching pad.

Satinder Kaur?s career has also been on a high ever since she graduated from the institute. Kaur has now worked her way to Pali Creations to earn some quality exposure into the world of fashion designing.

The list of designer hotshots continues for INIFD, which has churned out a number of success stories every now and then, and has been recognised as one of the premiere fashion designing institutes in the country.

Recently conferred the title of the ?Best Enterprising Centre? by its Delhi-based headquarters the institute, which was earlier known as the National Institute of Fashion Design, went into a recent collaboration with the Los Angeles Design Academy. And the move will only shape up more designers with potential, the institute authorities believe. ?Now we are in a position to offer three year regular BSc degrees with specialisation in either fashion, textile or interior designing,? said Rashmi Chopra, the institute head.

Speaking on the high success ratio among students, Chopra added: ?We are here to provide them the right kind of platform, and we are happy that they are making the most of it. We are very proud of them.? While some of their students are moving on to bigger arenas, some also prefer to stay back and pass on their expertise to their juniors. Among them is Amreta Singh, who aspires to start her own fashion house early next year.

?I am more into designing fusion clothes, with a perfect blend of the ethnic and the western,? says Amreta, who specialises in sarees and bridal wear and is currently engaged in training students at the institute.
