Ranchi, May 27: The premiere of the latest Nagpuria film Awara tore Pyar Mein at Plaza cinema here today proves throws up one definite conclusion.

The Nagpuria filmmakers have matured over the past few months as far as storytelling, editing and camera work is concerned.

The movie, which revolves around a love-story theme, had the audience glued to their seats with its intelligent story-telling, interesting cinematography and some good music scored by Jayant and Srikant.

?It is the first time that a Nagpuria film has portrayed a main character as a weakling. Such characters provide a better scope of portraying our talent. Normal characters are not only monotonous for us but also for the audience. The music of the film is also a plus point for the film. We have decided to screen the film across Jharkhand, besides Orissa, Assam and Madhya Pradesh,? said debutante director Pankaj Sinha, who also plays the male lead.

Sinha stars opposite Supriya Kumari, who has worked in several regional film videos.

?My maiden video albums was Bombai ka Lola, which was followed by Jaan tore Naam, also a hit. I spent four years in Delhi doing plays for various drama groups. This is my debut film where I play the weak-minded village guy who falls in love with a city girl. In the climax, I sacrifice my love because by that time I had grown up mentally,? explained Sinha.

?We participated in a week-long workshop while doing the film and got to learn several things about film-making and acting from well-known artistes like Jharna Chakravarthy, Sukumar Mukherjee and Shuvra Mazumdar who have acted in Doordarshan plays,? said Supriya, who also played the roles of the choreographer and costume designer for the film.
