Jamshedpur, May 14: Rahul, Akansha and Sonia were quite happy coming out of their school auditorium today.
Handling numbers was never this easy for the students of Carmel Junior College who got hands-on training in solving difficult problems in minimal time at the school auditorium.
With the right kind of approach, even complex mathematical problems can be solved, that too in less time, was the mantra at the mathematics workshop being held at the school. From the theories of lowest common multiple, highest common factor and percentage being discussed in full detail, cubes, square roots and fifth roots were also discussed in full detail at the workshop, which saw as many as 125 enthusiasts and their parents participate.
“They just have to be well versed in the numbers 1 to 10 and have to know very well the multiplication tables from 1 to 10, rest can be worked upon,” said Devesh Kumar, the instructor at the workshop.
“The focus is certainly on helping students come out of their shell and effectively solve difficult numerical in less time,” said Kumar.
