Ranchi, May 28: Ranchi Women’s College today received the certificate of accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
A NAAC team had visited the college for inspection in March this year. College principal Manju Sinha said her college has been awarded B+ grade with 78.75 per cent. B+ is awarded to an institution, which scores between 75 to 80 per cent on NAAC’s nine categories scale.
Marwari College, has been awarded B++, as it scored 80.65 per cent points, coming in the 80 to 85-point category.
“We will ask other colleges to join the NAAC club after improving the teaching standard and infrastructure, vice-chancellor S.S. Kushwaha said. In another development, two students were expelled from Simdega College for cheating in exams.
Dean, students’ welfare, S. Roy and inspector of college C. Tigga made surprise visits at several examination centres in Ranchi.
