Some of the contestants romped into the third round with easy wins on the second day of the East Singhbhum District Championship underway at eastern wing of JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur today.

Jamshedpur, April 30: Some of the contestants romped into the third round with easy wins on the second day of the East Singhbhum District Championship underway at eastern wing of JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur today.

Aarit Goyal, Avnish Pandey, Vignesh Satyam Raj, Jayram Bakrewal, Md Anas Shafique, Krishna Agarwal, Himanshu Kumar, Jaivardhan Sawa and Ashish Vagadia posted comfortable wins against their respective opponents in the boys' U-7 age group to slip into the third round last evening.

In the girls' U-7 section, Samridhi Budhia, Geetika Kumari, Riya Bakrewal, Nikitasha Sakhara and Bharti Mishra posted second round wins and scored two points each.

The second round matches in the boys Under-13 section saw Sanchit Mukherjee, Kumar Utkarsh, Om Narayan Bhuyan, Raj Tanja Singh Aayush Pandey, Rudra Sinha, Ankush Kundu, Shivam Gupta, Shubham Singh Munda, Archit Jaiswal, Sidhant Das Adhikari, Sundaram Kumar and Hridya Khara post round two wins and sailed into the third round with two points each in their kitty.

Pracheta Agarwal, Bidisha Roy, Ankana Kabiraj, Prachi Bal, Arisha Shiraz, Charu Agarwal, Dhruti Shah, Dyuti Chakravarty, Adreza Kundu, Bhoomi Agarwal, Deepika Roy Choudhury, P. Veda Shruti, Sakshi Agarwal and Simar Kumar claimed wins in the second round.
