It was a double delight for Abhikanks and his citymate Vasavi Modi as they both took home the category A and B titles.

Abhikanks Basu celebrated a nerve-wrecking victory at the Beldih Juniors after carding a second round 78 and a gross of 161 in category A at the Beldih golf course in Jamshedpur on Friday.

The 14-year-old saw off the challenge of Aryan Agarwal and overnight leader Rajvir Randhawa, both of whom finished one stroke behind in second place. "I feel satisfied with my win today. I think I played well over the last two days," said Abhikanks.

In the boys' event, Joysurjo Dey made it two category C victories in a week as he once again saw off the challenge of Kaushal Bagrodia. This one was a straight forward one as he shot an 86 for a gross of 174 leaving Kaushal and Beldih's Biren Kumar tied for second place one stroke behind.

In the girls event, apart from Vasavi, Fizza Ali won the category C followed by Vibha Nath while Sinjini Mukherjee won the category D title by beating Karishma Samadder into the runners' up spot.

Gurmehr Bindra also made it two wins in a week as he strolled to another comfortable victory, this time by six strokes with a gross of 166. Garv Lakhmani took the runners up spot at 172 followed by Maitreya Milan Saikia of Assam a further three strokes behind in 175.

The chairman of the Indian Golf Union East Zone Council Farzan Heerjee was on hand to see the tiny tots of category E compete in the sweltering heat. Vijay Karan Mehta shot a gross of 97 to beat Ahaan Gupta by one stroke to win the category E event.
