A day after the firing incident on a tyre showroom of Matkuria by two unidentified mask criminals, another incident of bomb attack on a house took place in Wasseypur area last night at around 11. 45 pm.
A team of Bhuli police outpost, which reached the house of Shamshad Alam, recovered a live bomb and remains of another exploded bomb from the site.
Family members of the victim, a petty contractor of Wasseypur near the Dhanabd City School, suspected that the attack had been carried out by the victim's in-laws in connection with a matrimonial dispute between Shamshad and his wife.
They further charged that the in-laws of Shamshad have criminal incidents and have been pressuring him to divorce his wife, threatening him of dire consequences if he fails to accept the divorce petition during a court hearing in Ramgarh on March 8.
Talking to media, Naushad Alam, elder brother of Samshad Alam said, “We were sleeping in our house last night when we heard a loud explosion outside the house. Upon coming out of the house, we found a live bomb and some portion of our house damaged.”
“We immediately informed Bhuli police about the incident after which a team arrived and diffused the unexploded bomb by putting it in a bucket full of water,” said Alam.
“We suspect the hands of the in-laws of Shamshad behind the incident as they have been forcing Shamshad to divorce her wife although my brother is not willing to divorce her in order to keep the family intact,” said Alam and added that they are greatly disturbed about the safety of their family after yesterday’s incident as the in-laws of Shamshad are of criminal background and facing several criminals cases against them.
Shamshad Alam said, “Though we are married for more than 10 years, a minor dispute arose with my wife after which two maternal uncles of my wife, one of which is a Central Coalfields Limited employee, forced me to divorce my wife.”
Meanwhile, Dhanbad police today arrested a criminal, Manuel Benjamin alias Mani (28) a resident of Gaushala in connection with the firing carried out against Tinku Yadav and Rohit Sani which took place outside their house in Gaushala on eve of Holi festival of March 18, in which the duo were seriously injured.
Police had already arrested Vinod Prasad Goyal, one of the accused of firing attack on Gaushala on March 21 while the second accused was arrested last night from Hariharpur police station along with a country-made pistol and an empty magazine.
