Jamshedpur, Dec. 8: The “bad boys” are set to take on real life villains.

Unnerved by the bomb blasts in New Delhi in Septe-mber and terror attacks in Mumbai, the students of Karim City College want to make a film on terrorism.

Under the name of Bad Boys Production, the final-year students of mass comm-unication and video prod- uction department are alre-ady busy with the shooting schedule.

“We were toying with the idea of making a film on terrorism for quite some time now. But after the two blast in New Delhi and the 26/11 attack in Mumbai we decided to make a film on the issue. This will be our way of showing unity with the bereaved families and war on terror,” said Kamran Jalili, the director of the yet untitled film and the student of the college.

The film is a 15 minute fiction based on the arrests of two students of Jamia Milia Islamia University in connection with the Delhi blasts.

The documentary will show how students of the country are falling prey to strangers and find themselves in a messy situation.

The terrorists are using the youngsters for small services in exchange of money and these youths are unknowingly getting involved in the attacks like the school kids from Calcutta who fetched SIM cards for the suspect Mukhtar Ahmed.

“The story revolves around four college students who come in contact with a stranger (a suspected terrorist) and one day they find themselves being pulled into a terrorist attack case. As college students we felt the same must have happened with those students of Jamia Milia Islamia and tomorrow we can find ourselves in similar situation. It is out of concern for our counterparts that we are making the film. This film would pose a question before us that whether we should be extra careful in choosing our friends,” said Jalili.

The students are being assisted by cinematograp- her and script writer Raje- sh Raj, who has assisted director Prakash Jha in a couple of his films. Raj will assist the groups and make them learn certain things about film making.

“The story is simple but it will be closer to people’s heart. The treatment of the film and the camera usage has to be such that it seems realistic. The actors have to work extra hard to bring out the correct expression, innocent yet powerful, that will define their characters. I will try to teach them as much as possible,” said Raj.

The production team consists of 15 students who wish to nominated in various film festivals. Although everything depends on the output, the students are positive about their maiden venture.
