XISS convocation saw girls of the 2014-15 batch topping all five streams, winning gold medals that were presented to them by Governor Droupadi Murmu in Ranchi on Thursday.

The gold medal winners were Ladli Kumari (HR management), Neha Kumari (rural management), Anumita Dash (marketing management), Sneha Sah (finance management) and Gitika Shrivastava (information technology management). Besides, two SC/ST students, Sonam Vandana Dungdung and Gali Kavita Yadaiah, who came first in HR and rural management respectively, also won gold medals.

Appreciating XISS for providing top quality professional education, the governor reminded students of the set of values her teachers had taught her. “I believe that this renowned institution has groomed you into professionals who are excellent in every way — in academics and in caring for human beings at the workplace,” she said.

“We are feeling on top of the world,” rural management topper Neha Kumari said, when asked how she felt.
