Dhanbad, Oct. 27: The placement season at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Dhanbad has begun with a bang.
More than 300 students landed jobs at the Hyderabad-based telecom company, Aster Tele-services Private Limited, on Wednesday. They would get an annual package of Rs 90,000 besides perks like home accommodation, said principal of the institute Dalbir Singh.
The telecom company was brought to the campus by placement agency Job Network.
The students from different streams were selected after a written test, group discussion and personal interview.
Satya Prakash, the director of Job Network, said training would be imparted to the selected 300 in Hyderabad.
“We have recorded successful placements this year too. In 2009, 107 students got jobs at Gurgaon-based Hero Honda and 39 at Ativir TMT Saria of Giridih,” said Rakesh Kumar, placement officer of ITI, Dhanbad.
Deputy mayor of Dhanbad Niraj Singh was also present at the institute.
