3-day tech fest to take off at NIT

Jamshedpur, Feb. 16: The campus of National Institute of Technology, Adityapur, will be a hub of activities for the next three days where students from India?s various engineering colleges will brainstorm on technical issues during Technica-2006, an inter-college event.

Managing director of Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority, Vandana Dadel, will inaugurate the three-day event, which will kick off tomorrow.

Organised by the Society for Metallurgical Engineering Students, the event, which is being hosted by NIT for the sixth consecutive year, will witness presentation of about 30 technical papers in five sessions.

The centre of attraction will be an exhibition called Metallographix, which will depict models and microscopic pictures of metals and alloys.Tata Steel deputy managing director Tridibesh Mukherjee will be the chief guest at the valedictory function.
