Abhijit Dasgupta's Shooting Ananya Chatterjee For Bipasha In The Oti Uttam Series Was Fascinating For Its Ambience. By Anil Grover Published 04.11.05, 12:00 AM

The Oti Uttam series of Uttam Kumar hits, turned into telefilms by Arjoe Entertainment, is gaining ground with the viewers and adding much excitement to the main cast in particular, everyone wanting his/her share of the Uttam pie. In Bipasha expectedly, Ananya Chatterjee, a versatile artiste on any given day, was throwing herself into the typical ‘Suchitra Sen stance’ when we visited the set (Shilajit plays Uttam’s role). A controlled but adrenalin-rushed Abhijit Dasgupta replayed some of the earlier shots on the monitor and one couldn’t help feeling euphoric with the ambience, and shot taking. Even Manoj Misra ? who was handling the camera instead of Abhijit himself, who this time would set up the frame and then sit himself before the monitor ? and other unit hands watching with us, went into spontaneous wows. And you could see the dusky Ananya literally glowing with the feedback. And then, when she stood for our camera, and Abhijit played Sandhya Mukherjee’s Klantir path in the background, you couldn’t find a more ‘in-mood’ and fulfilled look on an artiste’s face.

Scheduled telecast:
