Railway Board chairman and CEO V.K. Tripathi on Monday visited Paradeep Port and took stock of various developmental activities of railways in connection with traffic facilities and hassle-free train operations there. He assured the stakeholders that the railway would provide all support for the movement of their goods.

He discussed various issues with the authorities of Paradeep Port Trust and other stakeholders like Jindal Steel, Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), etc, and assured to provide all support on transportation and traffic facilities.

On Sunday, he inspected Talcher Coal Loading Points and took stock of developmental activities in connection with traffic facilities and hassle-free train operations. Later, he assured the Mahanadi Coal Field Limited (MCL) authorities to provide all kinds of support in coal transportation and traffic facilities.

In a press release, the ECoR (East Coast Railway) said Tripathi took a review meeting with senior officials at the East Coast Railway headquarters here and stressed on early completion of different infrastructure projects and increase in revenue.

Tripathi also advised officials to increase the speed of Passenger Carried Trains under East Coast Railway jurisdiction. Apart from this, he stressed on early completion of ongoing projects and increase in revenue.

Senior officials including General Manager (In-Charge) of East Coast Railway, Sharad Kumar Srivastav, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road Railway Division Rinkesh Ray, and other Principal Heads of the Departments of ECoR were present.
