New Delhi, Oct. 14: Information and broadcasting minister Priya Ranjan Das Munshi’s heart functions have improved, but his condition remains serious, doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences said this evening.

“He’s shown some improvement. His heart is functioning without any external support, but he still requires respiratory support,” D.K. Sharma, the AIIMS medical superintendent, told The Telegraph.

Das Munshi was admitted to AIIMS yesterday after a heart attack and failure of the left ventricle, the main pumping chamber of the heart.
