NEEND KI GOLI , MALLYA?

Vijay Mallya, the fugitive supposed to be part of the rich set that is running around for “neend ki goli (sleeping pills)” after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s corruption clean-up drive exemplified by the demonetisation, enjoys himself on the Silverstone motor racing circuit in England on Wednesday. Two days after Delhi showed signs of movement on having him extradited, Mallya told Reuters: “I firmly believe they have absolutely no case against me whatsoever.... I am safe in this country under UK laws, until proven otherwise. And I would rather be safe than sorry because I certainly do not want to be at the mercy of some maverick in the Government of India.” (AFP picture)
