Hyderabad, May 16: Suspected Maoists today barged into a factory in Andhra Pradesh’s Warangal district and shot dead a company executive.

AP Rayon’s deputy general manager Ramakrishna was shot at point-blank range in his office by four Maoists who drove into the factory in a truck carrying bamboos. The group also fired on another executive, critically injuring him.

The factory is in Kamalapuram, about 175km from Hyderabad.

Police said the attack could be the handiwork of rebels belonging to the Praja Pratighatana group, which had warned the company management against employing non-locals in the company.
