New Delhi, April 5 (PTI): Delhi police have been alerted about a possible suicide strike by the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group after central security agencies recovered a note from a militant killed in the Samba attack in Jammu and Kashmir last month.

The note said, "next we will meet in Delhi", an advisory to Delhi police reveals.

Such threats have been received in the past and the intelligence agencies sensitise the police authorities concerned as a precautionary measure.

The Jaish-e-Mohammed "has plans to carry out terror attack in Delhi which may be similar to the fidayeen attack in Samba," the advisory says.

Four militants had infiltrated through the Samba sector in Jammu region last month on the night of March 19 and split into two groups. One group attacked a police station, killing five, while the other group was neutralised by the army.

Asking Delhi police to remain on alert, the advisory said senior police officers, particularly DCPs, should take all necessary preventive and precautionary measures in their area of jurisdiction to avoid any untoward incident, official sources said today.

The routine drill of keeping a check on all entry and exit points of the national capital was being carried out, besides regular checking of lodges and low budget hotels.
