New Delhi, Nov. 14: A cow was killed early yesterday in a village in Ghaziabad, outside Delhi, sparking a mob rampage that has left the area tense, reports our correspondent.

Coming before Id and a couple of days after the Kanchi sankaracharya?s arrest, the incident in Faroqnagar added to the tension among the majority community there.

Villager Rishi Sharma?s cow was found with its neck slashed and ripped open, which police said would have happened between 5 am and 6 am yesterday. The animal was rushed to a nearby veterinary hospital where it died.
