Thank You!

Finally, One Direction: This Is Us is releasing in our city. I just want to shout my lungs out! I’m feeling soo euphoric, as if I’m on cloud nine! Only Directioners can understand my feelings at this moment! A zillion thanks to t2! I’m not a Directioner, I’m a #Proud #Directioner! :D :P

This Is Us was the #bestmovieever and watching it in 3D was the highlight. Everything they disclosed made me fall in love with them even more. On Saturday, I took along a friend who is a Directionater (1D hater) as she wanted to know what those five boys have that makes girls go weak in their knees for them. After watching the movie, she came to me and said, ‘I got my answer’. The movie was fab! I lost my voice on Saturday, my legs were shaking and the goosebumps? They were endless! I was stunned by them! Seriously One Direction, you are the #bestbandever! I really love you Simon Cowell, for finding such amazing five idiots who changed my life! And t2, you are the best!! I love you. I feel so proud of being a Directioner right now!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I never wanted the movie to end, it could have gone on forever! This Is Us is the #bestmovieever by the #bestboysever and I love the #bestnewspaperever who provided me the opportunity to watch it! Love you all a loads !! aaaaaaaa!! :*

A massive thank you to t2! If it wasn’t for you guys, the screening wouldn’t have been so good! Of course no matter when and where I watched the movie it would have been an absolute delight and I would have anyway loved it, after all I was waiting for it since forever! But the atmosphere created was like a cherry on top of a delicious cake! It was the dancing, singing, crying tears of joy and ushering into hugs with other dedicated (read obsessed) Directioners that made Saturday so very special! I’ll forever cherish it. Thank you, t2!

Thank you so so so much for the amazing screening of This Is Us. It was amazing to have our pictures taken (even though my head is hidden in the picture in Metro on September 8!) and having people from t2 talk to us!

This was an experience I’ll forever cherish. The movie was no doubt awesome and brought tears to every Directioner’s eyes. We aww-d and aah-d but because of t2’s endeavour all the Directioners could get together and dance all evening! For making the screening of the movie so enjoyable and fun, THANK YOU t2! And waking up every day to three pages on 1D is also superb! Loved Saturday, it was one of the best days of my life!!!!

I can’t describe in words how thankful I am to t2 for making This Is Us release in Calcutta. I was really very depressed when I was unable to get hold of the special screening passes. But when I got to know that This Is Us is releasing on September 13, my happiness knew no bound. I am a die-hard Directioner who has been waiting for this movie for a long time. Thank you so, so much t2. We the Directioners owe you a lot. <3

I don’t even have a count of how many times I have watched the trailer of This Is Us! I even signed up on Twitter just to follow and get updates from these lads. I thank t2 for the special screening and the release of This Is Us. I hope they come to India, especially to Calcutta (where nobody comes) because that is the second thing on my wish list, the first being watching This Is Us!

PS: I am known as the biggest Directioner in school! #feelingproud

Devangi Ghosh, Carmel High School

I was nine years old when I started liking One Direction. I am 10 now and love 1D like anything. Whenever I am home I watch the videos and hear their songs. I was very happy and excited to hear that This Is Us was going to release in India. Then I heard that it would not come to Calcutta. Then I saw that it would release and I was again very excited! SO KEEP CALM AND LOVE ONE DIRECTION!

Riddhi Pal

I collect every picture of 1D that is printed in t2 and I request you to give more updates about them. I hope the film stays in the theatres for a considerable period.

Sangeeta Dutta, Class X

A massive thank you to t2 for giving us Directioners an amazing opportunity to watch This Is Us. I will be ever grateful to you guys. Saturday was unbelievable! There aren’t enough stars in the galaxies to rate this film! My throat hurts from all the shouting, we were so loud throughout the movie, especially during the shirtless scenes. All our boys are hot enough to melt the polar ice caps! All the scenes in the movie were equally awesome but I loved the part when 1D sang Little Things. Singing along with their songs and dancing to Best Song Ever at the end was the best experience I’ve ever had. I had an exam on Monday but I couldn’t miss the movie for anything!

Directioners should make others watch the movie as anyone will fall in love with 1D after watching the movie. It is a must-watch for everyone! I’ll watch it many more times when it releases on September 13. Thank you t2, you’re the best!

Laboni Dutta, St. Thomas’ School, Kidderpore

OMG!!! This Is Us is definitely my all-time favourite! After watching it, our love for the boys has grown. A LOT. We saw what they have to put up with each day, the upside and downside of being in One Direction, getting to know that their lives are hardly “sugar spice and everything nice”. The things they have to deal with on a regular basis, like crazy Directioners — I’m calling my own kind crazy, but yeah, mobbing them was tooooo much! They need their space. Seeing them like they are, getting to know them, realising that Niall looks so much like his dad, Harry speaks like his mum, Liam’s mum is sooo sweet, Louis’s mum looks way too young to be the mother of a 21-year-old and that Zayn is probably one of the cutest sons ever. The credit for all of this and more goes to the entire team of This Is Us, their sponsors and everyone who contributed even one cell to make the film what it is. Thank you t2, for this special gift to us Directioners. We love you more than words can describe.

Avni Khajanchi, Modern High School For Girls

Saturday was one of the best days of my life, all because I got to see One Direction: This Is Us! From the beginning till the end, not once did I leave the hall, I couldn’t miss a single second of the movie! Screaming and singing songs of One Direction in a hall full of Directioners was the best experience, it was as though we were actually at a 1D concert! I’ve fallen in love with the boys even more after seeing the movie! In the end when we all got up from our seats and danced to What Makes You Beautiful and Best Song Ever and chanted “Go 1D” with people who are as crazy about the boys as me was one amaZayn experience! Thank you so much t2, for making this happen! Saturday, September 7, is one day I’ll never, ever forget! I’m going to keep my tickets with me forever! So, thank you so much again!

Anuska Jain, La Martiniere for Girls

I’m sooo thankful to t2 for the special screening of This Is Us. That movie is just amaZAYN, briLIAM, fabuLOUIS, phenomeNAILL, extraordiHARRY, 1Derful... I feel closer to the boys now and I have just one message for them: if you guys are not able to come to Calcutta (I know you will come but still, if not) just know that I will come and meet you. #PinkyPromise..

I Love You. Directioner — always & forever! :)

Tanvi Agarwal, DPS Ruby Park

THANK YOU t2, for an amazing evening! I really couldn’t believe the fact that I was going to watch One Direction in 3D but you guys made my dream come true! Entering Fame, we spotted hundreds of Directioners. It was like a “family” reunion for us. We sang 1D songs out loud before entering the hall. Once inside, we all were screaming and shouting like anything! The 3D effect of the concert scenes were great. And during the credits, we crowded near the screen, singing and dancing to Best Song Ever. The film contains some really emotional, humorous and shirtless scenes. I can’t thank t2 enough for this PHENOMENIALL experience! Those were definitely the best 92 minutes of my life!!!!!

Mrinalini Sen

This is us, this is who I am. You may call me obsessed, mad or crazy but the fact is that I am just dedicated. I love 1D boys for who they are. They make me happy when I’m sad, they make me laugh when I feel like crying. They’ve changed my life and I love them for it. I realised that meeting them is impossible but living in a dream is better than living in reality. I LOVE YOU, ONE DIRECTION. Thank you t2, for this special show. I will never forget this day!!!!!!! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing!!!

Divya Goyal

I would like to thank t2 on behalf of myself and all the other Directioners for giving us a chance to see This Is Us. One Direction is a lot more than a band to us and we are grateful that t2 showed us this movie. Honestly, as I entered South City Mall, I could feel my heartbeats increase! Standing outside Fame, I got to meet so many Directioners! All the t2 reporters and photographers were really patient and kind! The way they tolerated our loudness and craziness was commendable!

The movie is by far one of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen. I love how the movie focuses not only on the boys but also their families and what their families think about them and their fame. In this movie, we get to see the different sides of the boys, from their cheeky side to their serious, emotional one! I could connect to the movie because I’ve been a huge fan for two years.

My favourite part in the movie has gotta be the part where Harry and Liam are having a conversation while fishing and Zayn talking to his mum where she thanks him for the house he just bought for his family.

There is a part in the movie where Zayn is painting in his room and you can see the dedication and love he has for painting, that’s the same love and dedication we Directioners have for our boys! It was an amazing experience and I thank t2 with all my heart! I don’t think without your constant support we would have been able to watch this movie.

I wish in future t2 is able to hold such brilliant events based on One Direction too, and maybe even a concert! :P

Ending on a serious note, I really thank t2 for everything they have done today. Having a contest at such short notice and selecting winners is a lot of work. I feel blessed that I was a part of this big event.

Anusuiya Varma

Thank you t2, for bringing This Is Us to Calcutta for us Directioners. I’ll be going next Sunday with my sister who is a Louis girl. It’s a dream come true for me to watch my favourite Zayn on the big screen. Now all we REALLY need is the Fab Five to come to the City of Joy and give us THE BEST CONCERT EVER! Please arrange for this. I’ll be the first to send Team t2 a huge box of chocolates. Please! Love, a die-hard Directioner.

Sushmita Das, Ballygunge Shiksha Sadan

I love One Direction. They came to me as a bright ray of sunshine in that boring world of so-called “music” where artistes refrained from discovering new genres of songs. Then out of the box came One Direction. Now that their movie is releasing on September 13, I am as happy as a child. I wish t2 continues to print more and more information on 1D. My mother also wants to thank Louis Tomlinson for making me eat carrots, which I used to detest. I am very thankful to t2 and Morgan Spurlock for everything on One Direction. Now only one dream remains, for One Direction to themselves come to India.

Kirti Rocks

Dressed as the famous five, Ryan, Qurran, Rahul, Jeh and Carsten jived with directioners at the special this is us show — for t2

Five city boys — MBA student Rahul Sengupta, Qurran Jaiswal, a second-year mass communication student at St. Xavier’s College, footballer Jeh Williamson, hairstylist Ryan Peterson and St. Xavier’s College graduate Carsten Baracliffe — created a stir when they walked into Fame South City dressed as the One Direction heart-throbs last Saturday. Sporting coloured pants and 1D hairstyles, something the 1D fangirls just loved! “I am so excited about the show and here the guys are so nice to look at! I am a Zayn Malik fan but then I loved the guy who’s dressed as Harry (Qurran) here. He is so cute!” giggled Colette D’Gama (in black dress), a Class VIII student of Loreto Day School, Dharamtala, who came in for the t2 special screening with friend Sheena Sadique.

Anusuya Sen (left) and Shambhavi Shukla were happy to get clicked with Niall ‘Carsten’ Horan!

“Even as a teenager, I never had this much fun in a movie hall! At the This Is Us screening, I got transported to a teenager’s life and it made me feel so fresh and beautiful that I am definitely now a 1D fan!” said Bridgette Jones.

“Every minute that I spent at the screening was fantastic! It was the best experience I had in a while and it was fun, fun and more fun! The 1D boys know how to have a good time and respect their fans,” said Danielle Jones.

Minutes before the end credits rolled, the five boys and Danielle, who dressed them as One Direction members, got up to dance to Best Song Ever. The 1D girl gang, who had so long been rooting for their heroes on screen, went into a tizzy, running down the aisle to join them in front of the screen! “This is the first time I saw the One Direction guys on screen and now I completely understand why these girls are so crazy about them. The five guys share a wonderful friendship. Personally, I liked Harry Styles, he was good and I dressed as him!” smiled Qurran.
