Poolside story: Ten budding models took part in the swimwear round of the pageant on Wednesday morning. Actress Rimjhim Mitra, model Madhabilata Mitra, actor Om and composer Raja Narayan Deb judged the contestants in three consecutive rounds. For the first round, the models, dressed in La Lingerie bikinis, walked the ramp solo, then as couples and finally posed in a group. The contestants have been given a “complete makeover” by the pageant’s grooming team. The sessions so far had touched upon diet, workout, hair and skincare regimen as well as personality development.

“I did not use too much of make-up. I placed flowers on the girls’ hair and used fuchsia pink for the lips. For boys, I used a bit of body oil and foundation,” said Sandy, who styled the models, with Nabin in charge of hair and make-up for this round. To bring the team this far had taken a lot of work, for most are not familiar with the modelling industry. “We had to do many rehearsals for the swimwear round to make them comfortable and confident,” said Samrat Mukherjee, actor and grooming expert. The finale of the Glam Hunt is slated for September 22.

Judge speak: I was feeling nervous for the contestants because they had to walk in the sun. All of them are very good though.

Best swimwear body: Hrithik Roshan. He is the best! I try to follow him.

Judge speak: The contestants had to walk in the strong sun yet there was no sign of discomfort on their faces. Impressive.

Best swimwear body: Ranbir Kapoor and Vidyut Jammwal. I like a lean and fit body!

Madhabilata Mitra

Judge speak: All the contestants were very confident. Walking in front of so many people in swimwear needs a lot of courage. I hope their families extend full support to them.

Best swimwear body: Milind Soman, and also Kareena Kapoor in Tashan.

Raja Narayan Deb

Judge speak: As a musician, it was a completely new experience for me. I always welcome new things in life. I had great fun!

Best swimwear body: I saw Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year pictures. He has made such a great body at this age, which is incredible!
