What’s the secret of your fab abs?

I do a lot of boot camp workouts and boxing. I moved to a new apartment where I live on the ninth floor, so I try to walk up at least once a day. You know there’s no real secret.... It’s more of a lifestyle. It’s a conscious decision that I had taken two years ago and now it’s a process. There are days when I look into the mirror and ask, ‘Have I put on weight?’ You have to constantly maintain it. It’s something that you do for the rest of your life.

Your fans missed you and your Extraaa Innings co-anchor Archana Vijaya in IPL9…

(Smiles) Yeah, it’s a nice feeling to know that you are missed and that you have created a fan base where people expect to see you back on the same platform. People showed a lot of love for us. Archana and I were in touch during the course of IPL9. It is something that we were approached for but it didn’t work out. I genuinely feel that everything happens for a reason. We should just follow our path whatever that is and accept whatever happens. Nothing is written on stone. What is nice to know is that we were appreciated for what we did. That’s great! And, it’s something that’s close to our heart.

Tell us what happens when the Dandekar sisters meet...

Actually, we three (Shibani, Anusha and Apeksha) can’t meet often because we all are very busy. We meet when our parents are in town, which happened recently. So, we did spend a day together. We met after three months and had some quality time. We all live so close but we just don’t see each other. I am older than both and to see your baby sisters become such strong, independent women with an insane amount of talent is just amazing.

Anusha’s boyfriend Karan Kundra (TV actor) gave a piece of his mind to a fan who disrespected your sister on Instagram...

I am just one of those who don’t get affected by all these things. You can say what you want. You can do what you want to. At the end of the day, it’s important to find who you are, where you come from, what you are all about and it doesn’t matter what people say. I think it’s great that Karan responded. It’s lovely of him to stand up for his girlfriend and for women in general.
