Pokemon Go is gone (temporarily) from our phones and we who had been consumed by this app-based game so much so that it directed our travel and sleep patterns for the past few weeks, are in complete despair. The makers have geo-blocked India, and while we wait, not-so-patiently, for the official release of the game, here’s what Pokemon Go-ers are experiencing...

• The long kilometres that we walked in the past few weeks to catch Pokemon and discover Pokestops has dwindled back to the embarrassing few (centi)metres that we walked before Pokemon Go. #LyadhModeBackOn

• Those old jeans that suddenly started fitting us seem tight at the waist again.

• Friends who had found our obsession with imaginary creatures childish miss no opportunity to taunt us about how our life is going on despite the game being blocked.

• Chatting up that cute guy/girl is back to being oh-so-difficult. No more can we use the excuse “how many Pokemon do you have in your Pokedex?” to hit on our crush.

• Dates have become expensive again, now that Poke-dates at the Lakes is no longer an option. It’s back to the same ol’ movie and dinner routine.

• You wonder what to talk about with those long-lost friends you reconnected with via the app.

• You rewatch Pokemon, the original anime series, and keep hoping that the official launch is here soon.

• You open the app on your phone at least a dozen times every day, you know, just in case....

• You visit various fan sites to gather dope about when the official app will hit the Indian market.
