CLAIM TO FAME

As they say, Kim K is famous for... being famous. Her spectacularly successful career is based on baring every aspect of her personal life — from catfights with her sisters to her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries — on the reality TV show Keeping Up with The Kardashians (picture above), which is more about keeping up with Kim and is currently in its ninth season. “We’ve had more episodes than I Love Lucy!” chirped Kim. And once in a while, Mrs Kanye West loves to stir things up with a ‘break the Internet’ photoshoot, like the one she did for Paper magazine, posing full frontal and butt-naked. 

At the New York Fashion Week last year, a supermodel was born by the name of Kendall Jenner. Till then, she had occasionally featured on Keeping Up with The Kardashians, under the shadow of her star half-sister Kim. A year since NYFW, Kendall has walked the ramp for almost all top designers — from Diane Von Furstenburg and Dolce & Gabbana to Chanel and Marc Jacobs. She is the new face of Estee Lauder, and according to fashion industry buzz, the face and body to watch out for. 

FAMOUS FRIEND 

Before she became the Kim Kardashian, she was hotel heiress Paris Hilton’s bestie. Or should we say sidekick? Apart from accompanying Paris everywhere, Kim bore many an insult from Paris, and was touted to be more of a “closet organiser”. “I created Kim Kardashian, her whole family owes me life,” Paris has reportedly said. #Yikes!

A look at her Instagram profile tells you that Kendall’s BFF is Cara Delevingne, one of the highest-paid models. From getting their initials tattooed on each other to featuring on the cover of Love magazine (right), Cara and Kendall are like peas in a pod. Apparently, the Kardashian clan jokingly calls ‘Kara’, the sixth sister. 

OFF-DUTY

Dressing down is not Kim’s style, but we love that she has learnt to tone it down at times. This butt-clinging midi pencil skirt and deep-neck top reveal just the right amount of flesh for a day outing. Who does Kim give credit to for it? Husband Kanye West! “I was obsessed with glitter, rhinestone heels and the kind of clothes I now laugh at, and he threw them all out,” Kim has been quoted as saying.

Kendall dresses like any other 19-year-old (though the brands she sports are a bit too pricey for a 19-year-old). Her street style is stylish and chic, never OTT like Kim. Skinny jeans, tees, slouchy side-bags, sunnies and a phone for all those Instagram pictures, Kendall is just like us.
