The shows in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore will be held on January 19, 20 and 21, respectively.

According to Carr’s official website, Terribly Funny show contains “jokes about all kinds of terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love”. Carr’s world tour will kick off in October with shows in the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland and Asia.

Carr, known for his dead-pan expressions while delivering controversial one-liners, is the host of Channel 4 comedy shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year and Roast Battle.

In 2021, Carr faced backlash from critics and viewers about a joke he made on the Holocaust in his Netflix special, His Dark Material. He was condemned by various organisations and movements such as the Auschwitz Memorial, Hope not Hate and The Traveller Movement. The comedian also faced criticism from British politicians, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former cultural secretary of state Nadine Dorries. However, Carr did not take his joke back.
