Tanushree Dutta seldom lets go of a chance to be in Calcutta, even if it means playing a special judge on ETV Bangla’s Ritur Mela Jhum Tara Ra Ra Juti for a day. “One of the reasons why I agreed to be on this show is because it gave me a chance to be in Calcutta. I have my cousins in New Alipore and I love spending time with them,” says the sexy star, in between shooting for the show at Technicians Studio.
Back in Bollywood, Tanushree has taken up a children’s film, Rama The Saviour, for an image makeover. “It’s a sci-fi film and it’s very special to me as I am working with kids for the first time. We have shot a major portion in Thailand. I am excited because I will get to do a lot of action scenes for which I have learnt taekwondo. I play a very stylish girl opposite Sahil Khan,” she smiles.
Post-Dhol with Tusshar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, Tanushree wants to steer clear of multi-starrers as she gets “lost in the crowd”. “I want to play challenging roles of a gangster or a drug addict or a doctor,” signs off the dusky beauty, who is more busy with stage shows and special appearances than films these days.
