Sometimes greeting CGI wolves is a strange experience — Kit Harington

THEIR FAVOURITE CHARACTERS FROM GOT
Kit Harington (Jon Snow): Bronn (Jerome Flynn)
Maisie Williams (Arya Stark): Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). “She’s just a fantastic character, and even though everyone hates her you love to hate her.”
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark): Jaime Lannister (Nicolaj Coster-Waldau). “He is complex.”
John Bradley (Samwell): Jaime Lannister. “Nicolaj has this charisma. He was born to play this part.”

ON THE SETS
John Bradley (Samwell): “The great thing about this show is that they like to put you into atmospheres and environments that conjure up certain feelings when you are playing the scenes.”
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen): “Your imagination is fuelled. My throne room is a mini tropical version of a Westeros throne room.”

THE WEIRDEST THING THEY’VE HAD TO DO
Kristian Nairn (Hodor): “Oh, that’s an easy one! Hodor’s prosthetics.”
John Bradley (Samwell): “One of the most terrifying things I’ve had to do is the opening shot of Season Three. They had to get the feeling of something being behind Sam, of something pursuing Sam. They decided that the only way to achieve that effect was to chase me on a quad bike through the snow. And they had a guy running alongside who’s saying, ‘I’m here. If you fall over I’ll get the quad bike to stop.’ I was like thanks very much, I don’t know what they are paying you but it is not enough.”
Kit Harington (Jon Snow): “Sometimes greeting CGI wolves is a strange experience. There’s a big green sausage dummy thrust in your face and you have to treat it like it’s your lifelong pet who you love to bits is… very odd!”
Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth): “The most weird thing I’ve had to do is to bite off a man’s ear and spit it in his face.”

THE ‘OMGOT’ MOMENTS
John Bradley (Samwell): “First time I walked into the Castle Black set, I thought ‘oh my god’ because until you step into it physically, when it comes out of your head and into the real world it tends to send chills down the spine.”
Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow/Bolton): “Chopping off Theon Greyjoy’s companion was probably quite something and I was like woh, really?!”
Ellie Kendrik (Meera Reed): “Every day on the set is an OMG moment really because there are always surprises in it. You’re always in a cool location or you’ve got a great prop or you know the set is incredible.”
Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm): “The amazing thing about this is that you don’t know what to expect so you turn up and you’re like ‘Wow, this is so much grander than I could have expected or could have ever imagined’.”
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark): “Biggest OMG moment is when you think you’re nearly finished and then you’ve got five hours to go!”

WHAT THEY DID FOR FUN ON A BREAK
Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister): “Nicolaj and I tried to do a dance number walking down the steps of the court (Season 4).”
Nicolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister): “We thought it was fun and the extras were all laughing and dancing.”
Dinklage: “But the crew was really tired. I don’t think they responded.”
Coster-Waldau: “And then we just heard from the AD ‘still rolling, reset’.”
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark): “Whenever Maisie (Williams) is around there is usually a lot of sleepovers and we do a lot of knocking around on people’s hotel doors.”
Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon): “You’d see Dame Diana Rigg (Lady Olenna Tyrell) playing backgammon with Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne), you see Lena giving a massage to someone and everyone just chatting and joking around. That’s a really nice moment.”

Oh, ‘Dracarys’. Definitely. I believe that is probably the most badass quote — Emilia Clarke

THEIR MOST BADASS QUOTE
Kit Harington (Jon Snow): “Everyone else gets the most badass quotes. I think the best quotes are Bronn’s quotes. Any line he has is witty and intelligent and hilarious.”
Kristian Nairn (Hodor): “Hmm. Okay that scene where he says ‘Hodor’? Ya that was definitely a badass one!”
Rose Leslie (Ygritte): “I think it would be when Ygritte’s head is on that rock, ‘Strike hard and true Jon Snow, or I’ll come back and haunt you’ (Season 2). That was a great line.”
Maisie Williams (Arya Stark): “There is one where she is talking about ‘nothing’ (Season 4). ‘Nothing isn’t better or worse than anything. Nothing is just nothing.’ I think that really makes you think about all the characters and kind of puts things into perspective.”
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen): “Oh, ‘Dracarys’. Definitely. I believe that is probably the most badass quote.”
