Thodi life thoda magic

Don Muthuswami, Dhoom Dhadaka, Khushboo, Humsey Hai Jahaan… every week we are subjected to fresh celluloid torture and before even the weekend is over, the film is taken off the screens. Since these trashy films are easy to spot and have no chance of impressing, starting this Friday, we choose not to review them all. We start by giving Thodi Life Thoda Magic a miss.

What we will do instead is give you the storyline, just in case you really have nothing better to do this weekend and decide to stray into one of the few halls screening this film known only for its name game with Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.

Directed by Aanand L Rai and produced by Saahil Chadha, Thodi Life… is the story of human bonding and how love unites people and creates magic. MK (Jackie Shroff) is a man who lives for the moment and touches people’s lives. When he meets Siddharth (Saahil) their friendship helps the latter recognise happiness in life. Writer Naina (Meera Vasudevan) too feels changed by MK’s touch. Naina has had a strained relationship with a satellite channel head Roshan (Arbaaz Khan). So she teams up with Siddharth for a television show. When they need an anchor they hire MK who plays an agony uncle on the show and solves individual issues in the most implausible manner. Soon he becomes the hero of the town. But MK too has a past to hide...

Thodi Life Thoda Magic also marks the return of 80s’ actress Anita Raj and has a special appearance by cricket expert Harsha Bhogle.

If you still want to, catch the film at Fame (South City and Hiland Park), Roxy, Navina, Basusree, Ajanta or Radha.
