The biggest draw of the evening was Tabu, who walked the ramp for designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula, who did the costumes for the lead actors of Padmaavat.

YFLO Kolkata wrapped up its Connect chapter — the theme for its 10th chairperson, Shilpi Choudhary — with the Women Fashion Power: Fashion Show and Excellence Awards at Taj Bengal, where women from different walks of life took to the runway.

Designers Jayanti Reddy, Rimple and Harpreet Narula and Divya Sheth showcased their collections with 55 YFLO women and four girls from The Hope Foundation walking the ramp. Eighteen YFLO members were also recognised for their achievements in varied fields.

(L-R) Shuttler Aparna Popat, politician Priya Dutt and singer Kavita Seth received YFLO awards for their contribution. Tabu, Divya Khosla and Nikhita Gandhi were among the 15 ladies feted on the occasion.

Past & present: The event marked the end of Shilpi Chaudhury’s (right) tenure as YFLO chairperson, as she passed on the baton to Isha Patodia (left). “This past one year has been a true blessing and helped me fulfill my dreams of connecting with the members. I shall keep the memories close to my heart,” signed off Shilpi.
Raabta singer Nikhita Gandhi opened the show with a powerpacked performance.
Sanam Re director Divya Khosla Kumar sashayed in a yellow lehnga by Jayanti Reddy.
Calcutta-based designer Divya Sheth sent out contemporary Indian silhouettes with traditional Indian prints.
Footwear designer Rohan Arora and jewellery designer Vasundhara Mantri were the emcees.
The neon lights came on and the banquet was cleared to make way for a dance floor as the YFLO girls let their hair down after all the hard work.
