Ritabhari Chakraborty dropped by to check out Kompanero’s spring/summer collection at the leather accessory brand’s Forum outlet recently. Themed around floral and forest motifs, the new line packs in handbags, slings, travel bags, backpacks, messengers and portfolio bags with handwoven patterns such as the “dew drop” weave in their Crescent Moon range. “The bags are statement-y and have a vintage feel about them, which grows over time,” said the Pari actress who loves big bags and is looking to add a beige one to her collection.
“The Crescent Moon collection is one of the stories from our Into the Wild range, in which many of the designs are inspired from natural elements. Kompanero bags are handcrafted using vegetable-tanned leather to create a completely biodegradable product,” said Indranath Sengupta, director-founder, Kompanero. The collection is available at their outlets at Forum and City Centre Salt Lake, and online at www.kompanero.in.
