Niana: Niana is a Delhi-based luxury home fragrance brand that creates eco-friendly soy candles, reed diffusers, room sprays and sachets. Each luxuriously textured product is poured, blended, labelled and finished by hand.

Woodscapes: At Woodscapes from Auroville, each furniture is a unique art piece, deriving from tree trunks, their shapes and grains.

In The Know: A world away from the repetitiveness of mainstream perfumes, Delhi’s In The Know perfumes are individualistic, creating moments that linger on.

The Art People: The Art People is a Calcutta-based collective creating, customising and printing, mono-chromatically (with occasional bursts of colour), a variety of items from wall art to tote bags — all quirky, cool and minimal.

AKFD: AKFD is committed to the development of ideas using local crafts that have evolved over centuries. Based in Jaipur, the company explores a wide variety of crafts, be it beaten brass, stone carving or mirror-work to create home decor products.

Colourscape: This Calcutta-based home and lifestyle brand specialises in handcrafted and customised products as well as textile art, working with handlooms, weaves and embroidery. They make their own art textiles, borrowing techniques from traditional Indian handicrafts as well as world textiles.

Shades of India: Delhi-based Shades of India combines contemporary design with the workmanship of traditional crafts to create home furnishings. The uniqueness of its style lies in the texturing of fabrics, the coordination and contrasting colours and the unexpected use of surface treatment.

Klove: A luxury boutique studio in Delhi, Klove specialises in decorative lighting installations. The signature style followed by founders Prateek Jain and Gautam Seth flows from neo-classical to contemporary.

Safomasi: British-Indian couple Sarah Fotheringham and Maninder Singh create illustrated, handcrafted soft furnishings that tell the story of their travels all over the world, from their studio in Delhi. Their playful figurative prints are designed to evoke both memories and wanderlust.

One by Arpita: The Mumbai-based ‘healing furniture’ brand is all about crafted and curated spaces, designs and products customised to one’s uniqueness. The products and designs lend themselves to creative exploration of the self.

Freedom Tree: The spirit at Mumbai-based home decor brand Freedom Tree is to celebrate modern India as a vibrant design destination — a thumbprint against standardisation. While the overall form is consistent, each piece is individualistic.

Sommer Home: The Delhi-based online kids’ home store is deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition, characterised by minimal aesthetics, enduring functionality and bold creative thinking.
