I stay away from cosmetics except for make-up during shoots. I have lots of water and plenty of fruits. I use a homemade pack of besan and curd for my face. Besan helps exfoliate while curd moisturises and makes the skin glow. I do hot oil therapy for my hair once every week. |
I am a 36-year-old woman. I have combination skin, which is on the sensitive side. But oddly enough, it’s behaving like dry skin...though summer’s upon us — it seems stretched and rough. And not all moisturisers suit me — they give me a rash. Is there any natural moisturiser I can use every night after my cleansing and toning routine. (I cleanse my skin only with honey, and tone it with rose water.)

The changing season often changes the skin too and it does tend to feel dry. Mix half a teaspoon of olive oil with a few drops of lemon juice and massage gently into skin before bathing. You will see an immediate difference.
I am a 25-year-old man. I am losing a lot of hair lately. Every morning I get up from bed to find innumerable strands of hair on my pillow. Is this due to a lack of protein in my diet? Is there a hair pack I can use, may be once a week, on Sundays, perhaps?

Get a haemoglobin test done immediately. Also, start to oil your hair once or twice a week with a good quality Mahabhringraj oil. Next apply this wonderful natural pack once a week — mix 2 tsp each of amla, reetha and shikakai powder with 1 egg and 1 tsp triphala powder. Leave on for 40 minutes and shampoo off normally with a mild herbal shampoo. Also, increase the quantity of fresh fruits and green vegetables in your daily diet.
