Cake walk

Those plump slices of your rich plum cake deserve to be served in style. So, go ahead and pile them on this two-tier tray made of non-lead crystal, available at the Noritake store. Tagged at Rs 4,975, this piece is a part of brand Nachtmann’s Bossa Nova line that’s identifiable by the distinctive basket-weave design.

Gold rush

Add a splash of colour and dash of gold to your Christmas feast with these platters from Kaji-The Design House. The platters come with colourful, ornate motifs and designs and glitter with the sheen of hand-applied 24-carat gold foil. The platters can be mixed-and-matched to create a unique Christmas collection. Prices start at Rs 1,250, depending on the size.

Blown away

Raise the bar of your Christmas celebrations this year — serve the goodies in arty tableware. This green bowl with a stand, by blow-glass artist Srila Mookherjee, flaunts a curvy rim and a ‘tree of life’ motif sandblasted on the bowl. Best to serve cookies and candies in, prices go from Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000.

Bucket up

To serve your bread in style, you could pick an earthy wooden bucket from furniture and home accessories store, Basil. The stripped down and distressed look imparts an old world charm to the buckets that come in different sizes and are priced between Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,500, each.
