“See you at Haze” — has been a common phrase among friends looking to catch up in the evening or for a quick shisha. The coffee shop at the basement of Nocturne on Shakespeare Sarani has come up with a new outlet on Sarat Bose Road. Spread over 1,600sq ft, the swank hangout is divided into two sections — a coffee section (above) that is done up with quirky mesh ceiling lights and suede chairs in pop shades, with a coffee and mocktail station, and a 25-seater shisha section. “We had first opened Haze in 2010, so it was about time to come up with a cooler version of Haze with an extensive F&B menu. The exterior has an European look while the inside decor is chic,” said Amandeep Singh, director of Haze and Nocturne.
Our fave corner at Haze was by the window seat with foamy and yummy hot latte and board games. Taboo, Monopoly, Jenga... there’s plenty to choose from.
Soft, flavourful and slightly tangy define Chicken Roulade, where chicken is stuffed with spinach, crushed peanuts and jalapenos, and served with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes with a dressing of red bell pepper sauce.
Border line graphic art, patterned flooring and pouffe seating add a funky cool element to the decor of the Shisha segment. (Left) In the puff menu, the green apple fruit chillum is a must try!
Beat the heat with Aam Panna Ginger Ale Mojito. This sip is chatpata and very refreshing!
If you like your mocktail icy then Minty Melon has the right punch of mint, mango crush and melon syrup with a kick of virgin mojito mix, all blended with ice!
If you are looking for a vegetarian starter then Aglio Olio Momos is the one. This Haze signature dish has momos stuffed with veggies and paneer and tossed in olive oil with burnt garlic, parsley and chilli flakes.
Fondue Pizza is a must try. Dip the pizza slices that are folded making it look like a wrap in a warm pot of herbed fondue and go mmmmm.....
