Rule of the jungle at Whats In D Name

The weekend at Whats In D Name on Camac Street kicked off with full power as the revellers danced to the music of not one but four artistes! Starting with Jtrix and Axonn, the energy on the  dance floor shot up when American duo GTA began their two-hour set that had a mix of dubstep, trap and jungle with commercial tracks thrown in. Resident DJ Yafi (centre) concluded the night with jungle music. The winning tracks? Bodak Yellow, Humble, Red Lips, Step It Up and Hold On To Me.

“I was looking forward to this night that turned out to be so good! The music was very groovy and the rapping added a different mood to it. I also loved the buzzing vibe of the pub,” said Shristi Dasgupta (left) rocking pink locks!
“I love dubstep and GTA are very popular in Miami. So to have them in the city was fabulous. My personal favourite song of the night was Magenta Riddim,” said college student Karan Khanna, a regular at Whats In D Name, with friend Devyani Kothari.
Ahana Chakraborty brought the sexy back back in a black jumpsuit. “I love dubstep and trap because they are high on power and being a dancer, I love to dance to these. My fave moment from the night was when Jtrix was rapping ,” said the dance choreographer.
Rishank Saraiya  got the party going with trippy visuals. “Since they played dubstep, trap and jungle  I went for wild visuals to match the music,” said the 20-year-old video jockey at WIDN.
