MOOD & MUSIC: The last evening of the year at Outram Club started with a performance by singer Malini Banerjee, followed by Diptarka, a music composer and former member of band Hip Pocket. The party people flocked to the floor as Malini returned with popular international and desi numbers. Friends were spotted in groups of threes and twos, pouting for a selfie or going all out on the dance floor. Funky party props added to the festive spirit.
SHE WAS WEARING: LBDs, and maxi and midi dresses in bright colours. Bling was added via accessories. Ankle-length boots and stilettos ruled the dance floor.
HE WAS WEARING: Jackets and blazers, paired with jeans or formal trousers. Ties, both in solid shades and stripes, broke the monochrome monotony.
sip & bite: The club kitchen dished out finger foods like Cocktail Fish Fry and Chicken Kebab, followed by a Continental buffet by Amber with delicacies such as Chicken Roast and Veg A La Kiev. Guests loved the Mutton Shepherd Pie. Fave drink of the night? Whisky and breezers.
Singer Malini got the crowd on their feet with international tracks like Cheap Thrills, Shape of You and Skyfall. As the night progressed, she churned out Bollywood crowd-pleasers like Aaj ki raat, Lat lag gayee and Zaalima.
Jhilik Ghosh decided to go all black with an H&M outfit and boots. Extra points for that touch of bling on the sleeves and her aqua-blue streaks!
