THE SPRING CLUB

What: The Spring Club presents 31st Nite Bash in association with t2

When: December 31, 9pm onwards

What to expect: A gala evening of good music, food and dancing! The red-and-black-themed party is all set to host dance group Hypnotix. There will be performances by singers Supratip Bhattacharya and Teesta Banerjee. DJ Shakey’s lineup of upbeat tracks will keep you in party mode. 

Dress code: Smart casuals or formals.

Entry: Couple passes Rs 2,200 for members and Rs 2,800 for guests. 

Club speak: “A good and entertaining evening is in store for members and their guests as they gear up to welcome 2018,” said Sanjeev Ghosh, corporate general manager, The Spring Club.

PRINCETON CLUB 

What: Princeton Club presents New Year’s Eve 2017 in association with t2

When: December 31, 8pm onwards

What to expect: A gala to usher in the New Year with a bang! There will be dance performances by Deepshika and a Russian belly dancer. DJ Kush will play the best of party hits to keep you grooving into 2018.

Dress code: Smart casuals.

Entry: Couple passes Rs 2,700 for members and Rs 4,000 for guests. The passes include four complimentary drinks (Indian whisky) and buffet dinner. 

Club speak: “Princeton Club is home away from home for its members and guests and we are preparing to make this New Year’s Eve happening and memorable for all,” said Sanjay Karmakar, manager (operations), Princeton Club.  

BLUEZZ @ AXIS MALL 

What:Happy Bluezz Year 2018 in association with t2

When: December 31, 8pm onwards

What to expect: DJ Prince playing popular party tracks to get you grooving on the floor. A performance by belly dancer Shaiza will be one of the highlights of the evening. Don’t miss out on the delicious dinner and unlimited snacks and drinks!

Dress code: Smart casuals. Covered footwear for men.

Entry: Single-entry passes are priced Rs 3,500 while couple passes are priced Rs 5,500.

Organiser speak: “It is one of the most prestigious parties held on December 31 and people will surely have a great time here,” said Niloy Datta, director, Camellia Group.

SWISSOTEL KOLKATA NEOTIA VISTA

What: Around the World New Year’s Eve in association with t2

When: December 31, 8pm onwards

What to expect: A party that takes you for a spin as the theme for the night is Around the World. From an elaborate Indian spread at Durbari to the European buffet at Cafe Swiss, there is variety for all. Maaya, the lounge, will be prepped up in the colours and feels of Las Vegas as DJ Nilashree and DJ Koushik play their set of Bolly and international tracks. Drop by Splash, the poolside lounge, to groove to DJ Sunit’s commercial and Arabian mix. 

Dress code: Smart casuals.

Entry: Rs 8,499 for a couple at Maaya and Rs 4,500 for stag entry. Couple passes at Durbari and Cafe Swiss are priced Rs 7,800 and Rs 7,000 respectively. The couple passes at Splash are priced Rs 9,999 and Rs 5,500 for stag entry.

Hotel speak: “We are expecting a turnout of around 550 at our combined venues. This year, the crowd should increase by around 40 per cent from last year,” said Pawaninder Sondhi, marketing manager, Swissotel Kolkata Neotia Vista.

What: Under the Stars in association with t2

When: December 31, 8.30pm onwards

What to expect: Dancers performing to Bollywood tracks. DJ Aziz will churn out dance, electronica, pop, hip-hop and retro mixes. Live counters of pasta and Mongolian food will be set up along with a spread of Chicken and Mutton Biryani. Wrap it up with Gulab Jamun and assorted pastries for dessert. 

Dress code: Smart casuals.

Entry: Rs 7,999 for couples and Rs 4,999 for stags.

What: The First Bite — New Year Brunch in association with t2

When: January 1, noon-4pm

What to expect: City-based band Hidden Truth to perform Hindi and English songs live at The Square. The menu highlights are Spaghetti with Chicken, Calcutta-style Mutton Biryani, Salami and Chicken Mortadella, Grilled Fish, Herb Fish and more. 

Entry: Rs 1,950 without alcohol and  Rs 2,550 with alcohol.

Hotel speak: “Ours is the largest open-air banquet in eastern India which makes it our USP. We are expecting a footfall of above 500 on New Year’s Eve,” said Shaaeli Gupta, PR and communication executive, Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences.

What to expect: An open-air party with bonfire, magic shows, Arabian belly dancers and beautiful fireworks! Get clicking at the selfie zone and capture the last few moments of the year.

Entry: Couple passes are priced Rs 5,000, inclusive of unlimited snacks, dinner and drinks.

The Peerless Inn

What: The Peerless Inn presents Party Hard at the Heart of the City in association with t2

When: December 31, 7pm onwards 

Where: Ego, the Retro Lounge

What to expect: DJ Suraj manning the console and spinning out popular party faves. Guests can dig into pan-Asian delicacies, flambe cocktails, shooters and more as they ring in the new year in style.

Entry: Rs 1,000 for each couple

HOTEL HINDUSTHAN INTERNATIONAL

What: HHI presents Grand New Year Bash in association with t2

When: December 31, 8pm onwards

What to expect: Bashes at two spots in the hotel to usher in the New Year. The Aloha Hawaiian Party at the poolside will have Bolly singers Kamran Khurshid and Ritwika performing. DJ Ritesh will take charge of the console. 
At the Underground Hangover Sunrise Party, expect to see international belly dancers sizzle on the stage. Get ready to dance to commercial electronic dance mixes played by DJ Tishya and DJ Haym. Refuel from the menu with items like Hot Wings, Basil Chilli Chicken, Crunchy Fried Prawns and more. 

Entry: Aloha Hawaiian Party Rs 6,500 for couples; Underground Hangover Sunrise is by invitation (invites available at the hotel).

What to expect: A romantic evening under the stars! The Sector V address also has a belly dance performance on its entertainment roster. DJ Ritzee will ring in 2018, manning the console from 8pm to 2am. On the platter will be delicacies like Kung Pao Chicken, Vegetable Tetrazzini and more.

What to expect: A lot of costume drama with the theme being pirates! DJ Ramon is the spin-master of the night. A Russian belly dancer is also slated to perform. Enjoy some flair bartending by a boat-shaped bar.
While you let your hair down at the Regency lawn, a separate kids’ zone will be created at the Palm Lawn for your kids, complete with kiddie favourites like magic show and fun games. Live barbecue will add to the sizzle.

What: Calcutta Sports Association presents Winter Carnival 2017 partnered by t2

Where: Calcutta Sports Association, Southern Avenue

What to expect: DJ Amit Nayak to usher in the New Year along with Mumbai-based singer Madhuri De and Nirjhar Sharma of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame. Spice Dance Troupe will stage a performance choreographed by Tuhin Ghosh.

Dress code: Formals.

Entry: Rs 700 per member and Rs 1,100 per guest.

NEW TOWN BUSINESS CLUB

What: Winter Carnival in association with t2

When: December 31, 8pm onwards

Where: New Town Business Club, AE Block, Action Area I (C), New Town

What to expect: Performances by Calcutta-based singer Durnibar Saha and Priyani Vani, all the way from Mumbai. DJ Gaurav will ring in the new year with his set! The club kitchen will serve a multi-cuisine spread.

Dress code: Smart casuals.

Entry: Rs 1,500 per guest and Rs 1,000 per member.

Club speak: “We have a lot of exciting events. The turnout should be around 800,” said founder-member Anindya Chatterjee. 

INDISMART HOTEL
