Ayushmann Khurrana dropped by at Pawsome, a newly-opened pet clinic in Lake Gardens, on January 27. We heart how Ayushmann and Krypto, the labrador, hit it off right from the beginning. “I don’t have a pet in Bombay but I have a beagle in Chandigarh. Bombay doesn’t have space and it is unfair to have a pet if you do not have space. Pets are like babies and they need your time and I feel they fill that void of babies. And pets are babies for life… a dus saal ka pet bhi baby hi hoga. In Bombay I don’t think I could devote time to them… my beagle must be six now and Tahira, my wife got him. We named him Figo… he is full of energy and he is crazy. Now he is normal after six years and till three-four he was mad and never used to sit at one place,” said the Bareilly Ki Barfi actor.
“We started Pawsome with the intent to provide quality medical care to not only house pets but also to the homeless ones, along with providing 24x7 emergency assistance. We will shortly be implementing pet insurance. The proceeds of the clinic primarily funds the treatment of homeless animals,” said Ravneet Kaur, owner of Pawsome.
Pawsome is divided into three segments — the shopping zone, the OT and the grooming room. The shopping section has pet food, medicines to cute accessories for your paw-ed baby. You can also place your order for customised T-shirts, dinner jackets and towels for pets along with birthday cakes for them!
Pawsome has a separate operation theatre equipped with instruments like suction machine (removes excess water from various organs) and cardiac monitor. The clinic also does blood transfusion for pets.
Treat your pet to a nice haircut and spa in the grooming room. Services like dental cosmetic treatments are available.
